Anyone have the MX880 Windows 8 driver? Apparently URC doesn't have a Windows 8, 64bit driver. I already have and installed the latest URC CCP software and there is no updated driver there. I did also leave a message on the URC forums, but they aren't very busy and usually no one answers. I always could install a Windows 7 VM or something that will just waste my time and make things difficult. Well, maybe someone here has one. Thanks.

URC responded in their forums. Apparently they changed the way the MX880 communicates with the computer in later made models, which do not require a driver. This pretty much screws the people that have older models of the same exact model. I asked URC is there is a support path or a return upgrade and I'm waiting for a response. Let's see if they have any loyalty to their customers with their answer. I'm guessing NONE.

I thought the URC forums were for installers only? Do they have a consumer forum as well?

Not understanding the problem. I have 880's from when they first came out and brand new ones. No issues communicating with either.

Still running Windows 7.

It is specific to Windows 8, as the title of the post. I spoke to URC and they pretty much said I'm up the river without a paddle if I want to use Windows 8. Nice support there.

I just got my 880 working with Windows 8. You need to disable the driver certification check and then I used updated the driver in device manager to use the Vista 64bit driver from the CCP directories.

Here's a video on how to do it:

That's par for the course with URC.
