So the screen on my MX-980 died and it was out of warranty. So I got another working MX-980 to swap in a screen from. No joy. Apparently URC changed LCD suppliers for the MX-980 at some point and they are not compatible.
Unfortunately my CI lost the program code for the original remote. So I am wondering if it is possible to directly transfer the programming stored in the original 980 to the new 980.
Thanks.

No way to directly copy (clone) the programming from one 980 to another that I know of. But it is possible for the CI to upload the program onto their computer and then download the program into a new one. Your CI should know this and be able to help you out.

The above is assuming the remote is still operational and can connect to the computer (you only stated that the screen stopped working)
