Hi all,
i am programming mx 900. This remote is resonding fine to IR commands but doing nothing to rf commands. Tried the same setup with mx 980 and that is working fine. I have a mrf 350 with msc 350. Any suggestions please...

sometimes when you are messing around with programming settings get changed in the IR RF settings. I would double check in CCP to make sure that you have both IR & RF selected and that it is assigned to the correct mrf

Thanks for replying, but that was the first thing i tried and that is fine. both rf and ir are selected. Also the mrf is set to the correct channel. Any other suggestions please?

Have checked that the antenna lights are on? Make sure the plug is pushed in on both sides if you are using the wire with the "headphone style" jack. You have to make sure it is pushed all the way in. Also, are you sure you don't have a 418 MHz remote with a 433 MHz base, or vice versa?

If all of the settings are correct, and both the remote and base are the same frequency, my guess would be a bad rf board inside the remote. If you have access to another 900 try loading the program to that remote and see if it works.

Take the MRF to a different room, away from the equipment and test it there. If the receiver or cable box is throwing out too much RF you will be far enough away and should see the status light illuminate and the emitter as well.
If it works there but not when you put it back in the equipment stack, start unplugging devices one at a time until it works. I just had a customer owned Denon receiver last Monday that was the cause of my RF not working with a MX-900/MRF-260 setup.
Don't forget that setting the MRF to 0 will help you in troubleshooting RF issues. Do you see the status light flash at all? If so, does it flicker at all after you release the button or does it cut off immediately when you release the button?

Thank you all for all the input. Unfortunately status light doesn't come on at all. Also i think they are all of same frequency. So i am assuming it is the rf port. Will keep looking.
