Hello everybody,
I am having trouble installing my MFRA-3LD lamp dimmer by Lutron. I have a MRF-260 base station along with a MX-900 remote. I have lights programed by using URC Lights by Lutron in the IR Database on the CCP (I used auto address). My base station doesn't even get a signal though (the status light does not go off for my light button). Hopefully someone can help soon. I want to use my new toys.
Thanks, Joe

The remote sends radio frequency directly to the Lamp dimmer, not the MRF-260. You don't need a base station to control URC lutron lighting...

Did you "teach" the remote's lighting ID to the dimmer? Press and hold the large rectangular button for 10 seconds until the LEDs start crawling downward. While they are doing that press and hold the Power On button on the remote for that light. The LEDs will crawl faster a few times and then then come on solid. Dimmer has now learned the address of that remote.

Dimmer has now learned the address of that remote. What he said, must make sure you are within the lighting device on the remote at the time you press on

I am having an issue getting the LEDs to crawl faster. I am holding the power buttton under the light remote options. The LEDs flash slowly one at a time and crawl to the bottom and then repeats all the way up. The light dims to almost off. The controls on the remote do not work.

Reset the dimmer. Unplug it, press and hold the big button and the dim up button, plug it back in and hold the buttons until you see the lamp get bright and dim 3 times quickly. Release buttons, reprogram dimmer.

Even when resetting I don't think it is working. I reset using your instructions but the LEDs claim up at a quick speed and they continue to do so until I let go. I held for about 3mins and they just continued to claim. Hold longer or stop? Thanks for helping me troubleshoot.

Sorry for the obvious questions but are you certain you aren't mixing 418 and 433 MHz products? And obvious number two...are you sure the lighting device is setup as RF in your remote programming?

The dimmer I have is the MRFA-3LD-URC this is the 418MHz, correct?

The CCP has been giving me trouble for a little while now. I am going to uninstall and reinstall in case that may be a problem. However, I still cannot reset the dimmer properly.

I see this is so much easier to program with the standalone MX-900 editor. Unfortunately my CCP is not working to the point where I download to my remote and it makes up its own IR codes for my buuttons. Also, when I press my component buttons such as "Cable" it wont even pull up the "Cable" menu. IDK what the heck is going on...

Yes, the 'A' series is 418MHz, we knew that...what you aren't telling me is if you are sure the remote is standard 418, or 'i' 433.
And what about the RF setup in the remote I asked about? You're sure that the lighting device in programming is set to output RF, right?
If you have a standalone version now of mx editor, load a blank config. Then create a new one with just the lighting and make sure the lighting device in RF setup is set to RF. Now try and pair the remote to the dimmer.
Report back after that...new empty config file with just the lighting set to RF.

How old is the 900? There are older models that won't talk to the dimmers.

Report back after that...new empty config file with just the lighting set to RF. You need to put a dummy RF base into the program so that it 'enables' RF selection for the lighting devices, even if everything is IR controlled.
