Hi I've bought a MX-980 in 2008 and never had any problems with it for four years. I recently changed of cable supplier and have a new HD-PVR to program in the remote, so I started to program it. My problem happened when I tried to download the data in the remote a window popped;

"Connecting to MX-980 device

Loading System..."

That was okay untill another window popped;

"Not Exist RCManager.exe!"

What does it mean?

The last time I tweaked this remote was in early 2011 with my old (dead) PC. Is this a problem with my device or the editor?

I performed a live update on the editor but it still give me the same error message when I try to download the data to my remote.

I'm kind of screwed here since all my A/V devices are in a closed cabinet and I use a MRF-350 to convert the IR to RF.

I need help!

Thanks in advance.

Of course you don't mention what program you are using (CCP or stand alone editor) and what operating system you are using. WTF? How is anyone supposed to give any valid suggestions?

Mr. Mechanic. I get this error light on my car every time I try to drive it out of my driveway. What do you think it could be?
Chasing Ernie's post count, one useless post at a time.

Sorry about that, I'm using a stand alone editor on a PC with Windows 7 and Internet Explorer 9.
The last time I tweaked it I was on a system with Windows XP and IE7.

Does it help?

My computer knowledges are extremely poor, I'm alright for programing my remote but when I have PC related problems I'm calling a service guy and when my truck breaks down I'm driving it to a mechanic.

Do you have Windows Mobile Device Center installed? Latest is 6.1 I think and there is a 32bit and 64bit version. You'll need it to download to the 980.
