Over 5 years i use a MX-950 with RFX-250 and MSC-400 without any problem. Now i bought a second MX-950, downloaded the same configuration file as to my old one.The new MX-950 works fine on IR, but the MSC-400 won't react to RF. RF comes out of my new MX-950, because the RFX-250 shows on the LED that there is a signal, but the status LED of MSC-400 (which shows not only RF, it shows a known command) won't flash with that remote. Here are the difference between the remotes:
My old one: O/S 4.20.01.15 Build 03.07.06 Red PCB Barcode lable "MX-950"
The new one: O/S 4.20.01.17 Build 08.08.06 Green PCB Barcode lable "MX-950(R)"
Is there maybe a 418/433MHz issue? I thought that a 433MHz Remote must be labled as "MX-950I"? Did anybody knows what "MX-950(R)" means? If the remote is a 433Mhz model, is there only a oscillator to be changed? Or is there a other issue?
I'll hope that there is a hint for me, because in the moment i don't know how to solve this RF issue. Thank you,
REMOTEFAN

It's safe to assume they purchased the replacement 950 because the original one was on the way out?
Sorry, never seen a MX-950(R). Maybe you got some kind of knock-off, re-furb or bogus b-stock. Where did you buy from? Contact them. Contact URC with your serial number. If it's legit they should be able to tell you what RF frequency you should have. Hey who knows, peel the sticker off, there may be another one underneath it lol

is it possible the "R" stands for refurb?
