I have a device (Dune) that I had to add 3 commands to the stock IR set.  One was a correction ot the URC button, 2 were discrete power on adn off not in the URC database.

I am using a MX980 controlling a MSC400.  The device is set to RF only, on port 6 of the MSC400.

When I program so a button on teh remote sends teh remote command for one of the 3, they work fine.

On the MSC400 I imported the device, and generated samrt macros for all it's buttons using the built in tool.

On the MSC400 I have a powerwidget for Dune On.  In that power widget I have recorded the discrete on command from the Connected Device navigator.

I have a watch widget that executes all my devices on commands via their smart macros.

Just like URC training tells us how to do it.

Problem is it does not work.  Anyting sent by the MSC400 does not work.

To debug I open up the command on the connected device, or the smart macro and click the "play/test" button.  It pops up the USB connection window but it does nothing.

Other devices work fine.

What am I missing?

Not sure what's happening here but have you tried just creating the commands in the MSC rather than importing them from the MX980? If you need to teach it IR commands it has an IR receiver on the front for that reason.

Have you tried downloading the program to the MSC and updating it's firmware in the process?

I have not tried building the device on the MSC from scratch.

I almost never teach commands, but program them in HEX using makehex.  I may use an IRwidget to decode somethign so I know how to create the HEX.  Anyway I have the pronto hex for the 3 extra buttons (2 extra, one correction to theirs).  And the HEX workd fine from the remote.  At first I figured those were the issue, but then I found the normal buttons were not working via the MSC "test" either.

Not following the last suggestion.  I must download the program to the MSC in order for it to work.  I have D/L to the MSC.
