Hi all, recently picked up a MX-880 for my kids game room... long time URC fan. Does anyone have any case suggestions? My kids are somewhat careful but the remote is bound to get dropped, would love to protect it. Thanks!

Looks perfect! Ordered one, just hope the top lip comes out a little beyond screen to provide protection if its dropped screen down. Thanks so much for the tip!!

Thanks for the link, Edmund. Didn't realize this guy is in my back yard. ;-)

Got my case today and just wanted to post an update. It fits like a glove and does hang over the top of remote a little bit to protect the screen from a face down drop. Great case! Only complaint is the plastic they used looks to be a dog hair/lynt magnet. They would have been much better off in that regard using some kind of TPU with a smooth finish on the outside.

The company now has covers for the mx-980, mx-890, and mx-780 remotes.

What about charging MX890/MX980? The 890 you can plug separately, but the 980?

funny you ask.  i saw edmund's link earlier and then went to the webpage and sent them a message asking.  you need to remove the case to have the remote sit on a charging dock.  still could be worth it for people with kids.  it looks similar to my case on my phone, and that isn't that difficult to remove.

can you confirm that the mx890 is the same case as the TRC1080?  I would order an MX890 case if that is true.

I ordered one to try since my dog ate up my 1080. It still works but I can't dock it, have to plug it in. So we'll see if it works.

Is there a hole in the bottom for the charging plug if you disconnect it from the base?

They're selling it on amazon too, but double the shipping costs. The only review was from someone who was missing the battery door, this saved her from having to purchase a new remote. :)

You can always buy a battery door from URC...CVR-MX***

Guys, don't waste your time. I ordered the one Edmund posted from eBay. It is NOT a case but a rubber glove the remote fits in (think cell phone protective case). Waste of money unless you have a kid that likes to dribble the remote like a basketball.

you thought it was a replacement case?

i like the one that i purchased, it could save the remote from a drop on the kitchen floor.
