I'm using an MRC400 with multiple MX980s. All the programming in the 980s reference custom RS232 strings - it all feeds into a home automation system.
Each remote has about 80 commands. The commands vary from remote to remote. The issue i'm having is that copying the macro groups and recreating for each remote is a bit time consuming - I'm wondering if there's some way I can text-edit the custom serial strings. They only differ by one character for each remote.
Thanks in advance - Joe

Do you want to edit the serial commands or the names of the commands that appear in the macro groups?
Unsure of what you're asking here.

Edit the actual serial command. I may have something like cmd#1,ply that would need to change to cmd#2,ply

You can edit all the commands in a text editor and then copy paste them back into the serial command window in CCP, or you can just go down the list of commands in CCP and make the change.
Either way you have some busy work ahead of you. Hire a computer kid for $10 an hour to have him write all those for you.
