Have a new client who's mx810i bit the dust (upon being tossed down the stairs by their kid ;)

Not familiar with this remote at all, other than knowing that it was URC's direct2consumer line and apparently used a harmony-like wizard interface for programming?

I was going to suggest replacing it with an mx880i or mx900i ... but I'm not sure what RF station the mx810i was designed to work with - would it typically have been deployed with an MRF260(i)? And if so, these should work with the 880/900, yes?

BTW, is it possible to copy the programming from one mx810 to another? The banged up remote apparently powers up, but won't send IR reliably; one option I was consdiering was having the owner purchase another mx810 (avail online), and then just assisting them with downloading/uploading the programming. Upon finding out it's a wizard-based programming, I though that the software may not even have a "download to PC/upload from PC" method?

Any URC product with an 'i' in the part number uses 433Mhz RF. A MRF260i/MRF350i will work with any i remote.

Do your customer a favor and sell them a better remote than an 810. There's a very good reason they were discontinued.
