I've done a thread search and some web searching, but havent really come up with an anwer: Has anyone used an in-ceiling type speaker that would be suitable to use in a steam shower? I suppose the fallback plan would be an outdoor style box speaker, but being in the shower itself would seem to be a fairly extreme condition for them to exist. Anybody done this successfully before, and if so how, if you care to share?

Ive used the marine application (many brands to choose from ) speakers that have butyl rubber surronds and treated grills.......if they are to be used for salt water boats, then a steam shower should be cake......do a search on marine application............regular steel grills and speakers will rust and die sooner than later....

Terra Speakers are perfect for this type of application. I've used them and they work very well. The only way to go.

In Canada, they are availble through Artech Electronics.

We have used speakercraft in a few steam showers as well as terra speakers, been several years now...still working fine

We have had issues with sterostones getting wet and dying
I can get 7 RG6 cables and 5 Cat 5e wires in a 1" hole and I saved a ton of $$$ by switching to GEICO www.geico.com

Did you use the OS Speakers or In-Walls?
