Hi there!
Long time lurker here. But I still hold you guys responsible for convincing me to buy the mx950 / msc400 combo. :)
This was a few years ago and unfortunately I just programmed the mx950 and the never got around to the msc 400
Now unfortunately I have lost my disks for the editors for both and changed my pc.
I've tried writing to urc direct to no avail.
Can anyone here help?

To my knowledge the editor for the MSC never came on a disc. Where did you purchase from and have you contacted them?

Have you tried calling URC? They answer every time I have called them over the last number of years.

tweeterguy: Bought from ebay and yes it did come on a disk. I had installed it on my mac (windows emulator, of course), and even connected successfully to the unit. Just never got around to programming it. Since then, my mac died and for some reason, I can't seem to find the installs of either on my backups.
punter16: No I have not. Will certainly do that later on tonight... Thanks for the inputs and replies.

If you bought it from ebay good luck! URC usually helps customers that bought from a legitimate dealer.

And the disc was obviously a self rip by the eBay seller. Not an OEM disc from URC. I'll sell you a ripped copy for free, you just need to buy an MSC-400 and MX-980 at full retail. It's time to upgrade anyway. That 950 is probably a little long in the tooth by now.

Other than monochrome it's still a viable remote.

Tweeterguy, this is about three years ago but I'm quite sure that it did come with a dvd. In fact just looked at the box and packaging and there is a blister container with a groove for a dvd also. But I could be mistaken.
I'm not big on the monochrome screen, nor am I a highly accomplished installer, but I like the flexibility of the programmability of this remote for my simple ht. Yet, if I've done anything to rub you the wrong way I apologize.
Just got off the phone with urc and their "system was down" and they couldn't send me a link. Said they would call back in a couple of hours. So let's see.
Thanks for the input folks. In the worst case if urc doesn't come through, am I sol?

Oh and if you're serious about selling your mx 980 let me know. PM me. As long as you include a rip of the msc 400 disk we could have a deal. ;)

No you didn't; I was merely joking around with you. But yeah I have a used MX-980 for sale in the marketplace here but unfortunately I'm not willing to ship it to Pakistan. Best of luck to you.
