What's next for URC? A software e-vamp? Product re-vamp? Anyone know? I would like to see this company do something great. The people there are pretty good and the products are inovative. Would like to see them shake things up a bit either by introducing a new product or change around an old one.

I would like:

a larger touschreen (5" at least)

a MSC unit with IP control and uploading/dowloading. That way you can update fav's and fix problems and troubleshoot while not even in the customers house.

A Web Tablet that would allow you to get internet acces from you touchscreen.

have the NEw MSC Expandable to 6 antennas (Sounds like a good Number). Three is not enough.

A touchscreen around the same price as the Pronto 3500 would be a nice addition, IMHO.

. . . and we're not talking about the TX-1000 either. ;-)

A lower priced touchscreen with customizable graphics capability would be a nice addition.

I would like to see them get what they have working perfect, before jumping to far into new things

Yes, I agree. There are still plenty of needed software updates, including full compatibility between the MSC400 and MX950 and 3000. Not to mention the whole Vista issue.

That said, here are my thoughts on new products:

A larger touch screen version of the MX3000 with 2-way capabilities and a few additional hard buttons would be cool, but expensive.
A color MX950 with graphics.
In-wall keypads that work with the MSC400 through RF.

this would be a great step forward. Perfect for retro installs without cat5 at the V/C

I thought that was just a power supply issue?

Is there some other problem I am not aware of?

I'd love to see that too, but what would power it if it was totally wireless? Where's Tesla when you need him? :)

Thank you,

I don't want to hijack the thread with the compatibility issues, but you can read more about it here:
