Guys:

I have recently purchased a MX-450 remote and am running into a problem that I’m sure one of you can fix.

I made the mistake of trying to use the copy and paste function to program the main On button as the On button for multiple components (TV, Receiver, Cable). What I found out is that you cannot paste multiple devices to the main On button. It only remembers the last component (in my case the TV).

No big deal I thought. I’ll write a macro for the master On function. When I do this, the macro works fine in the test mode. But when you exit and hit the main On power button, the cut and paste I had done overrides the macro.

No big deal. I’ll delete the cut and paste…couldn’t find a provision for that. No big deal, I’ll map the On of the TV back to itself to get it off the main On button….no effect.

Any suggestions? The only other idea I have is to remove the TV and reinstall it to get rid of the copy and paste to the main On button.

Thanks, Cris

Cut and paste Main On to itself, to erase.

I can't see a way to copy and paste the main On to itself. When you enter the copy and paste menu and set the "paste" to the "Main and Fav", the next screen does not give the "Main and Fav" as a "from" option.

Am I missing something?

Thanks, Cris

More history: I uninstalled the TV and reinstalled it. This did not remove the copy and paste function that is tied to it.

As a follow up to my problem:

I called URC's tech line and their solution was a factory reset and starting over. I tried that, rewrote the macros, avoided any copy and pastes that would interfere with the macros, and now all is working as planned.
