Got it in on Monday..

-A little slow to respond to remote control commands.

-Graphics need some work, but like the fact that it has an OSD.

-Sounds pretty good (better than Sonos or a Blu-Ray player).

-Would be nice if they added a few more apps for example Spotify, Moog, etc..

- I tried using it as a standalone player without connecting it to a "total control system" and it falls a little short. It would be nice if at some point they would come out with an app to control just the SNP-1. For example trying to search for an artist, album, or song was frustrating.

-They still need to come out with the 1280 remote and iPad app. It's a step in the right direction, but this entire process has been way to slow. I'm sorry but I am still waiting for the new remotes to come out before I start selling this piece or a total control system.

You need to buy better blu-ray players!

Awesome. Thank you. I agree. Way too slow. Poor product release. Still sounds like a beta release. I'm waiting on the 1280 and app release as well. Thanks again!

Compared to what?

Look for Total Control Mobile.

Got the iPhone app. So far, it's not connecting. Might have to play around with it a bit.

In order to utilize the iOS Application you will need to input a registration code within Accelerator. This is done by right clicking on the iOS device and going to properties.

Total Control dealers should have received a new price sheet with the iOS applications listed.

You'll need some code to put into Accelerator. They are gonna run some tests on the activation before it's officially turned-on to the dealers.

After getting some units in I finally was able to test one last night briefly. While I agree with most people's findings I am very confident in the speed and feature set of this system (as well as enjoying the full potential) when coupled with a complete Total Control system. That includes the networking infrastructure as well. I think this is a difficult product to create as many similar products on the market fall way short and are a hell of a lot more expensive. I give URC full credit for the design and implementation of this product as it gives us a pretty decent system (espcially coupled with the amplifiers) at a fantastic price point.

Gotcha. I've got a customer who's been waiting for this for awhile. Forgot about the code.

Question on the SNP-1 metadata and being used with Total Control... When streaming iTunes from a networked computer, does it display the metadata (cover art/song info, etc) on the networked remotes/wall panels? Thanks!

I went to the 2 day URC training & got to see the SNP1 in action with an entire total control system. I now have much better understanding of how to design program, & sell the entire total control line including the SNP1. It's a a lot more user friendly when used with the TKP-2000, MX1280, & iPad app.

I also learned first hand that it can't be used as a stand alone player yet. Before I went to the training I unknowingly made the mistake of hooking it up to the network in our store & it took out the entire network. After I attended the training I found out that it currently can only be used in a total control system.
