SUCCESS! Thank you for sending the file. I was able to load it without a problem. And as a result I've been able to identify the issue with my CCP configuration!

I'm still working it out because it doesn't make sense, but...

My config file is far more complex than the sample you sent, however, I did notice one thing when loading it. It had a ghaphic theme different than what I was using.

I had built a custom graphic theme years ago and have been using it in my remotes for years. You can use a different graphic theme for Watch, Listen, and FAVS. I selected a standard theme for Watch and the file loaded just fine.

My custom theme is still being used for Listen and FAVS so I'm not sure why WATCH isn't liked by CCP on Windows 7. Because after-all, there is NO PROBLEM loading this file from Windows XP.

But at least I'm light years closer to understanding this than ever! And I know I can load it from my Windows 7 workstation...

I was so encouraged, but no. Fails everytime again. I was testing with a config that isn't as complex as my home theater MX880 that is tied to my MSC400. As soon as I go to update that MX880, it fails regardless of which background theme I choose. But of course, under Windows XP, it works fine!

This is maddening!

I have XP on a Parallels install on my MacBookAir, which fortunately runs very well, very fast, and will simply have to be the solution for supporting a complex home theater installation with MX-880s and an MCS400. Perhaps at some point I'll upgrade to the new IP controllers, but I hate to fix what isn't broken (hardware wise). Or switch away from URC althogether!

Have you tried booting your PC in Safe Mode just to turn everything off and us minimal drivers to see if there is anything else that is causing you connection issues?
