Nothing wrong with my windows 7 config. See my troubleshooting. I can load a simple CCF file to the MX880 under win 7 as well. But my config is complex and won't load. But will loa under same version on win XP.

Its URC

I have the same issue. Nearly a year later from what looks like the last post. I can load a simple file with no issues from my windows 7 laptop. But I get the same error code when downloading a large file with mx-880.

I downloaded ccp onto a xp computer that did not have the latest update or an update for maybe 6 months and then tried uploading the file and it worked.

And it lasted only one month. Latest update has broken the ability to sync again. My fallback, the same release under Windows XP, that works. Jeeze guys! What gives?

Maybe you could do a system restore to go back to the old version of CCP?

I'm resurecting this thread because I still have the same issue. My MX880 configurations work fine under Windows XP but not under Win7.

XP is now out of support and I'm tired of keeping a laptop around just to edit/update/load my MX880 files.

This is kicking my arse, and I can't find a working method outside of XP to load my MX880 remotes! I have three of them and hate to start all over with Harmony.

Is there a new release of CCP Residential or Commercial that I can use?

I'm on 3.3.1029.2

How lucky for you. What version of CCP are you using?

I have been using Windows 7 Pro 64bit for years and have NEVER been able to load my configuration to my MX880s. It fails at 30%, just after the USER DATA LOAD portion hits 100% complete and tries to move to the next phase of data load.

However, the exact same configuration using the exact same release version of CCP under Windows XP works fine.

Can you explain why that is? I'd be happy to send you my CCP and lets see if you can load it. Can to assist me in that little experiment?

Go into properties and make sure Run as Administrator is selected. If that doesn't do it. Go into the properties and select XP Service Pack 3 for compatibility.

Running exact same version of CCP as you.

Been there, done that. Still fails to load at the same step each time. Like I said, want to try loading my config to your remote? Would be a great help to me. Will tell me once and for all if its the config or Windows 7 causing the problem...

Would be happy to help but currently I don't have any URC remotes around to test it on.

Have you tried to start another MX880 file, load a single item and see if it will upload?

So you don't have ANY URC MX880 remotes? All you would have to do is load it on your existing remote and see what happens. If it fails, no worries, you're having no problems loading your own file, so just download your config again. If its successful then you have truly helped me rule out Windows 7 as the issue.

Additonally, as I've reported in my earlier posts in this thread, I have tried to rebuild the file, adding one device at a time. Sometimes a new file works with a few devices then fails and sometimes it simply fails with only one device. Only thing that works consistently and every time without fail is when I load it under Windows XP.

I've been suffering this mess for years now. If ANYONE reading this thread has a working Windows 7 64bit OS and CCP working with MX880 and can take my file and load it successfully, I'm happy to provide... Thanks!

No, I don't have any URC remotes. I did more URC a few years ago but now mainly do Crestron. I still have customers with URC and occasionally will need to update their remotes but it's not something I stock and I personally don't have one or I would be happy to help.

You do have UAC turned off in Windows correct?

So this isn't exactly accurate then... You probably meant to say you haven't been using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit on MX880's for years, but when you did it worked without issues...

Maybe someone with an MX880 and Windows 7 64bit CURRENTLY in active use could contribute and help me out... its not like I'm the first or last person to continually report issues with CCP on Win7 64bit. Was just hoping that after the months that have passed someone would have figured out what's wrong...

Alternatively, If someone would send me their CCP file for an MX800 that they know works, I'll try to download it to my remote. I have three of these MX880s and can easily afford to test one!

My goal is to DEFINITIVELY point to either the OS or the Program or my specific CONFIG file as the culprit...

No. I have updated my customers MX880's and did a bunch of them using Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. I just updated one 3 months ago. Plugged it in and it worked perfectly.
