Anyone know how to program the Sony Google TV blue ray player to an MX980? It's not specifically listed in the preprograms of the CCP. I thought it might be under Web TV - Sony, but it's some other player.

Anyway, I would love to be able to use my mx980 with this player. Any help is greatly appreciated.... Thanks!!!

As far as I know, you cannot control that with your remote. The Sony remote communicates with the unit via bluetooth...not IR. I do not believe there is an IR sensor on the unit at all. If I am wrong, I will be glad to learn it. :)

Yeah that's kinda what my research is showing.

Well I wonder if I could buy another identical Sony remote, one for den, one for bedroom, and one for mancave.

I will have one unit feeding each tv with hdmi. That way I'll have GTV on all tvs controlled from one source.

I don't see why this won't work with an hdmi splitter.

if it is bluetooth, i wonder if the sony ps3 remote would work with it.  and in that case, i wonder if one of the ir to bluetooth ps3 adapters would work with it.

Hmm idk. I don't have a ps3 because I don't game nor do I have kids. I can't find any info on if I can buy additional remotes for a single unit.

There is no IR sensor. We didn't have time on our job where the client showed up with one to try the bluetooth/IR adapter. We had him throw it back to whence it came and replaced it with something decent.
