Hi-
1. When I hit the Bluray button on my remote it takes me to a page with Bluray commands. i.e. on the LCD it has buttons like "eject", "popup", "A (red)", "b (green)" but no play button. If I hit the play button on the remote itself it fires the blaster to the cable box. I checked the RF setup and it is set to all devices the same and emitter is: all lines.
Is it possible to use the play botton on the bottom half of the remote to send the play command to the Bluray player?
2. Does anyone know where I can get a complete user manual for the mx 450 remote? I can't find anything online. I want to read more about the advanced setup.
Thanks alot!

Sounds like "Punch Through" is happening for the transport controls. I think on the 450 it is referred to as Copy and Paste

It sounds more like all the emitters (not blaster) are flashing as they should if the remote is set to send commands to all ports. It should still send the play command to the bd player if you have the correct codeset selected

I assume you know how to get into the programming menu. Once in, select Advanced Setup. Scroll down to the last option, RF Setup and press select. Select Each Device Differs. The remote will take you to the screen to select one of your devices. Once you select your device, choose the third option down, Emitter Routing. Now just press UP or DOWN to select the number port that your device is plugged into on your RF Basestation. Repeat this step for each device to isolate the emitters so they only flash when they are needed. Once you have your emitters routed properly, you can test to see if your codes are working properly. I all honesty though, you should set up RF last, and test everything with IR. However, if you know that you have working codes and setup RF, you can test that way, but testing on IR is the proper way to go, and then switch to RF.

Thanks, I was doing what you suggested last night but had issues. I will step back and test the IR first. I really want to learn how to program this remote but it is a little frustrating without a manual. The one that comes with has very little information.

Thanks for the help goldenzrule.
I went through the settings and I *think* I have all the emitters setup properly now. I turned off the IR then.
All my equipment is in the closet behind the couch, so the IR shouldn’t be able to get there. I also turned off the blaster.
I have: 1.Samsung UN55D8000 TV 2.Samsung BD-D5500 3D Blu-ray Player 3.Sony STR-DN1000 receiver 4.Xbox 360
My wife gets frustrated when the components get out of sync. She can’t figure out how to get them back in sync so that is why I am trying to tune this up.
I keep reading about discrete codes, but I am not exactly sure how they work. It would be great if the power on button on did power on and not toggle and same with the off.
Thanks again.

If you post what inputs everything is using on the TV and avr as well as what ports I will put together a file to send you that you can upload to the remote with the archive software. Do you have a cable or sat box?

cool thanks. I forgot to mention I also have a Comcast cable box.
So basically, you just need the the receiver inputs like "hdmi 1" etc and then the number port coming from the base station?

Ok, I think I have everything. Motorola RNG150N – Comcast cable box
HMDI 1 - BluRay HDMI 2 - Xbox HMDI 3 – TV
This is how the emitters are currently setup on the remote.
Emitter 1 = Audio receiver Emitter 2 = BluRay Emitter 3 = Seems to be running back to tv through wall Emitter 4 = Cable box
Thanks again for the help. Appreciate it.
