I've had the MX-980 and editor software since 2008. I bought the remote and software from an authorized dealer and have been using them without incident. However, the remote is getting beat up and I just found a deal on a new MX-980 remote to replace the old one. The problem is the new remote will not connect with my current editor. I've run the Live update on many occasions and my current version is:
- Editor Version 1.10.010
- IRDB Version: 2.03
- Manager Version: 1.0.2009.9101
Any ideas why the latest verison I have will not connect. All I need to do is download my exisiting files to the new remote.

I think it has to do with the newer firmware in the 980 not allowing it to work with the old editor only CCP. Talk with the dealer you purchased the new 980 from and see if they will give you a copy of CCP. If you didn't get it from an authorized dealer then you could be hooped.
