Hi All,

I am surprised I haven't seen more talk about the 1200 in this forum...is there anyone that is thinking of swapping out their '980 for the '1200? I think from a functionality perspective there are some new features, but the cosmetics do look a lot better.... although I am surprised there are no power buttons up top?

I am curious what others think and whether you are considering making the switch...

i don't miss the power buttons up top.  I never use the power on button on an mx980 anyways.   power is controlled by the activity macros.  a system off button always resides in the upper right hand corner of the touchscreen.

i haven't ordered a 1200 yet, but i hear the availability is limited at the moment, so that may be why there isn't much discussion so far.

I don't think it will necessarily replace the 980, but there seems to be quite a lot of customer interest so far on this remote. Many of my clients that have MX-880's and MX-900's have expressed interest in upgrading. I think this remote will sell well.
