What is the final and definitive word on this subject? My old trustworthy windows XP 32 bit computer is on it's last legs. Will I be able to program msc 400s and mx 880s etc with a new 64 bit windows 7 or 8 computer using CCP.? I have read this forum for a long time and have heard it both ways.

No problem with the remotes, I run 7 64bit Pro and can program all I've done.

No luck with the MSC400. Some have said if you get 7 Pro and windows XPmode it works but haven't tried yet.

32 bit or 64? And can you program MSC 400s with that?

My Win7 is 64 bit.
XP running inside is 32.
Yes on the MSC400.
I also use it for some older MX850's

Been programming my MX980 on my laptop running Windows 7 x64 Enterprise for the past few weeks without issue.  Can't speak for the MSC400, I havn't made it to that level yet.

It does not require XP to program. It requires a 32 bit system. If you know what you are doing this should not be a problem.
