I want to use one of the relays on the back of my MSC-400 to trigger on the amp that powers my bedroom speakers.

I have a mono trigger cable that has been cut to expose the red and white wires.

The ports on the back of the MSC are an unswitched 12 +/- power and the relay has Com (common), NO (normally open) and NC (normally closed).

I know that I will use the NO which I will issue a close command to complete the circuit to turn the amp on. I am just confused about the exact wiring.

Do I run my white wire from the trigger to the - of the 12v power then run red wire from trigger to NO of relay and a jumper wire from + of 12v power?

Thanks.

connect the tip of the connector to the N.O. connection on one of the relays.

connect the sleeve of the connector to the negative connection on the 12v connector.

connect a jumper wire from the COM connection on the relay to the 12v positive connector.
