This AV receiver is not in the IR database but VSX-1017TXV is, which I assume is an earlier version of the same basic receiver. What puzzles me is there are 6 codesets: VSX-1017TXV[MAIN] VSX-1017TXV[EXT1] VSX-1017TXV[EXT2] VSX-1017TXV[EXT3] VSX-1017TXV[MULTIZONE] VSX-1017TXV[SIRIUS]
Taking a wild guess, should I use VSX-1017TXV[MAIN] as my recv/amp device and then copy some or all of the others into it?
Or, is there a complete, fully functional code set available somewhere?
I'm not a complete novice here but this AV receiver is a lot more complex that my old Sony that I set up in mt MX-900 several years ago.
TIA
Ed

Yes, use the Main for most common functions and then you can drag over codes for any extra functions you need. You will have to drag them to the AVR device pages for them to work properly. Might mean adding numerous pages to get them all.

The codes are separated into several "groups" so you don't have one codeset with hundreds of codes to look through.

Are there descrete commands for zone 2 power on and off for this receiver. I am using an Aeros (MX-850) remote. If someone could upload a component file with the default along with with these commands that would be great.
I don't have the updatable software to get the commands for this receiver.
Thanks,
Kris

You can find those codes in the VSX-1017TXV[MULTIZONE]
