I am using RS232 with my receiver. Is there an easy way to punch through volume controls on it with all pages on the 980? Used to have it working with ir but there is no option for serial devices.

Where do I find the Favorite channel icons. Like ESPN, ESPN 2, TBS ...

How do I get the MX980 to default to my watch page instead of listen page when it is turned on to start?

Will a URC VID-6 Video Sensor work on a component cable as well as composite? Say from a Wii?

Thanks a lot.

I'm not sure about volume punch-through...I've only programmed one MSC-400 and I thought it handled serial and IR devices the same in terms of punch-throughs.

The favorite channel icons are available in an expansion pack add-on for the editor. You must be a URC dealer to download it, or someone may be willing to give you the file.

At the end of your Master Power Off macro, add a page jump to WATCH page 1. Then, after you turn your system off, the next time you pick up the remote, it will be on WATCH instead of LISTEN.

Yes, you should be able to use the video sensor on a component cable connected to a Wii. Use it with the green cable of the component video.

What's the purpose of using a video sensor on a Wii, a device you have no control of?

you could use the video sensor to trigger a smart macro.  so when the wii is powered on, you could have the msc400 run an activity to turn the system on and go to the correct inputs.

Exactly what I am doing. Using a power sensor for the xbox as well. ;)

you need to create a device page group for the rs232 device, then drag the volume smart triggers to each button.   now you can go in and assign that device as your volume punch through to the other devices.
