all rs232 programming is done in the msc400.  after you create the rs232 device, you convert all the codes to smart macros.  then you drag the smart macro triggers onto buttons within the mx3000.

Do you do the IR commands in MSC400 to? Or are they done in MX3000?

only those that you want to program into smart macros.  for basic stuff like changing channels, you leave the ir codes right on the remote and just route that device to the proper ir port on the msc400.

basically, you want to program the entire remote first (minus any rs232 or macros)

once all the codes work on the remote, you then import the ir devices into the msc400 and create all your macros.

Ok so am I right in thinking that when I have completed the MX3000 with my IR codes I start on the MSC400 editor. Create all my RS232 codes and Macros then go back to MX3000, open the universal browser, open my .msf file and drag and drop my macros to my buttons.....is this correct my friend?

P.S I didnt mean it about the jeans ;o)
