Hello ladies and gentleman. This may be the wrong spot to post this but I'm curious as to where I can get certified to get this software I have all the time in the world and would like to become an expert. I want to but a urc remote (the 950 or maybe the 5000) and I know that URC won't give out the software. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year to you and yours,
Mike

URC doesn't provide the software to end users. An authorized dealer, however, is allowed to give you, the end user, a copy of the software.

Thanks. I tried searching for any info on it but didn't find much. Ever heard of classes where I could learn from the ground up? THanks

there are no classes, video's, trainings of any kind for end users. Classes for professionals are held during industry only conventions and usually once or twice a year in major metropolitan markets.

The best thing will be to find a local dealer to work with.

Go for the MX980 or the upcoming MX1200, I'd recommend passing on the MX5000. If you wanted something else to look at, the new Pro Control line from parent company RTI might be a good option, but seeing as the product is just about to start shipping its hard to give much input on if it is a worth while alternative (or if the product/software will be ready for prime time AND if the software will be allowed to be given to end users), my hopes are yes to all but only time will tell.

Unless something's changed, I was told at CEDIA that they do not want the software given to end users on the ProControl stuff.
