I have my apple tv2 controlled by my mx-900. The signals are being relayed through an IR blaster on my MSC-400. There was apple TV code in the MX-900 library but I couldn't get that working so I just used the learning function to program some buttons on the mx-900.

My issue is that the control is very sluggish. If you've used an apple TV remote before you'd see that the buttons are very quick. When i look at the blaster when a button is pressed i noticed that it flashes for more than a second. Does anybody have any recommendations to tighten the signal so that it has more shorter precise bursts?

Out of curiosity, what is the theory behind the codeset speed vs the learned code speed?

the database codes are most likely generated using data provided to urc from apple.   learned codes sometimes have extra junk in them that can make things act funny.  i've heard other people complain that they had difficulty learning from the apple remote.

What do the bizarre symbols mean?

"Play /Pause" makes sense, but why are there 4 of them?
"+" and "-" what are those? volume or channel? And there are two of those.
"Menu" makes sense, but there are two of them. Why? what's the difference?

Then, there are these: "I<<" and ">>I", also two of each.

The apple remote itself is very simple: up, down, left right, select, menu, and play/pause.

The the 412 codes correspond to the Apple remote?

thanks,
~Jay
