I could not find a code set for the DirecTV TiVo THR-22 and tried to learn the buttons on the peanut remote, but none of them work. I got a "good" response for each button while learning them and successfully learned the buttons for a different remote at the same time.

Any suggestions? Is there a code set that will work with this remote?

I think it uses the base codeset from the HR20. I know the HR24 does.

Give it a try and report back.

If you want to use both the THR and HR in the same room, assign one to use Codeset 2.

I have a sense that you folks may be able to give me some advice. I have a Sony Home Theater that I am trying to control with the peanut remote from the new Direct TV Tivo THR22. However all the four digit numbers that come up for Sony receivers do not work. Also I do not think this Sony receiver has the ability to change remote coeds from AV1 to AV2. Any ideas. I want to be able to adjust the volume using the peanut remote.

Try the Tivo codes under DVR if the SAT 173 code doesn't work.

The best advice would be to send the THR-22 back and get a regular DirecTV HD DVR. But I digress.

If the peanut programs similar to other DirecTV remotes, you have to have a TV programmed before you can operate an AVR. Given that the THR-22 can be operated by the old "white" DirecTV remotes, my guess is this still holds true.

Perhaps Edmund could shed some light on this.
