Hi everyone,

I have an MX-810 which still works, but I can no longer reliably program it with Windows 7. I can do simple tasks such as re-label a button or even add a device, but I can't get it to learn from other remotes because the computer can't consistently communicate with the remote. Therefore, I've become fed up enough with this problem that I'm beginning a search for a new remote.

What would you recommend as a replacement for the MX-810? I like the look and feel of this remote, but I'm open to newer styles. I also have a MRF-100 which works great so ideally I would like to keep it.

p.s. I am a consumer, so if I purchase a "professional" line URC remote will I be able to get the software to program it?

Thanks!
Todd

Get a MX-880. It looks the same as the 810, but a much better remote.

As for the software, find a dealer who will provide it. Some will, some won't.
