I have spent 20 hours or so on my remote this holiday weekend. You can read about my remote crashing here [Link: remotecentral.com]

I was going to call URC tommorow, but since it would still connect to my computer (even though my remote would not work after the download) I kept programming the remote with intricate macros, backgrounds, and buttons all weekend. Tons of time.

I made the mistake of moving my CCP program to a different location instead of deleting it all and re-installing in the new location. I orginally installed it on my Desktop but wanted in "Program Files". I bet some files were left out or the links were broken. LEARN FROM ME and clean install if you are going to move your files and dont be lazy and just move them!

I kept programing with the moved files and the remote died and would hang up on the loading system files screen in the beginning. I suspect that my file created was corrupt and I kept programing on the faulty CCP program.

I reinstalled a default template on CCP and that did not fix it. I had to install one from a FRESH COPY of the MX-980 Editor and it fixed the remote. Does anyone know why the CCP would not fix it and the Editor would?

Remote is back to normal, but the newly installed CCP will now not open my file I created over many many many hours on the old CCP. Do you all think I am SOL?

I uploaded the file here to see if anyone else can get it to load but I think all my work is lost.

Any help or confirmation of my theory of what went wrong would be appreciated. I am a bit afraid to use the CCP and am thinking to just use the Editor? Need some reassurance from you guys and maybe some suggested "next steps". I would love to not have to start over.

Its late and I am tired..

what devices did you have in your file?  in the spirit of the holiday, I can put something together and you can customise it to your liking.

I can open it, but its blank default is what I should have said. All my custom programming is gone. I can open it, but it definatelay was not blank when I did it. It is now blank when I open it. its 310kb as you can see. A blank one is usally much less?

Thank you so much for your generous offer, but I had it customized to my liking and will most likely just have to start over.

I just scanned this thread on my phone so I may have missed important details that make my question irrelevant. So... Are you trying to OPEN an MX-Editor file in CCP, or are you trying to IMPORT it?

I created a CCP file in a suspected corrupted version of CCP.

I resintalled CCP and when I open my old file, I just get the basic template and none of my programing is in int anymore. Yet the files is 301k
