Do you think this could have screwed up my MX-980?

I noticed that on some of my screens for the actual devices (not just the Listen or watch pages) the actual icons have "programming" and the corresponding hard button does as well (little "P" next to both"

On some devices, only the hard button has the Porgramming "small P" but not the actual icon.

Obviously the 980 is not touch screen so I am wondering why there are some icons with programming associated with them.

Would this screw up my remote? Is the remote searching for programming on the icon when there can't be as its not touch screen?

How do I remove the programming from the icons (not the hard button) because when I do, it seems tied to the hard button and removes that as well.

The icon has programming for the hard button beside it, it's the same programming. Removing either will delete it from both.

No, it doesn't cause issues with the 980.

Thanks for the reply.

So why do some of my icons not have any data embedded with it and are not "tied" to the hard buttons.

Also the MX-980 uses 120X70 pixel icons.

I have been able to put other size icons in that are smaller. I am guessing this should not cause problems either?
