The discrete power on/off codes for my Sony KP-57WS500 (from the IR database) work just as they should on my MX-850 LCD buttons. But when I put either of them into a macro, they work as toggle commands. Any ideas why this is so? I'm puzzled.

My guess would be that the hard button 'on/off' are toggles and you used them for your macro's.

The p-on and p-off are listed in the lcd buttons.

Problem solved!

Although I would gladly have bet that the problem was not what you suggested (I was sure I had checked this), I reprogrammed my macros being certain to use the LCD buttons, and all is well (I think). I also made sure the hard on/off buttons now shortcut to the LCD buttons as well.

Thanks.

Sometimes if you don't delete the IR code on a button before you do a 'shortcut', you'll end up with the results you had.

I'm glad it you got it going.
