Hello all,
Looking for the best place to find an Aeros serial cable. I don't think our installers left us ours (6 years ago) and it's kind of like trying to by leaded gasoline. Love the remote, but need to make changes due to new cable service. Original installers are out of business and only shop in town wants $200 to program. Thought I would give it a shot before paying or just buying something new.
Do you know where to buy? Is it Aeros/URC specific or some sort of generic outdated connector I could buy from monoprice? Is this worth trying? I'm a software professional and not afraid to try.
Thanks. Matt

I have instructions for building one here if you're so inclined. You can also call URC and they'll sell you one, or get the serial cable for a Tivo sold on tivo.com. Mike
