hello everyone

i just received a new mx900 after replacing my old one through insurance claim
i previously was able to program with mx900 editor, now it wont recognize the remote for downloading or uploading communications

i visited the retailer i bought it from originally and they stated the new software editor recognizes it the old software seems not to communicate with the remote. I dont have the new control all software

i tried a search here but was unable to locate the correct file, can someone point me in the right direction. Please and thanks all info is greatly appreciated.

Why don't you ask your dealer for the software? Where did you get your replacement remote?

You will need the Complete Control Program from URC - www.urccontrolroom.com

Thats really the only place you can get the software unless its pirated. Im not completely sure if they let everyone register, but since you do have a remote, they may allow you to register it with the serial number and get the software. The software, again, is call "Complete Control Program."

Best of Luck!

That may work too, but if it was a custom electronics retailer, they may not have because they may not do programming there. They just sell the remote...

it will also program with the MX900 editor.  he probably just has an old copy that doesn't allow updates like the newer version.

the software can only be downloaded by dealers.

It could be the opposite.
I think all the original software did update. It was later that it changed.
He might have a version that does update.
Make sure you are on line, then look for the Live Update button.

-Hope for the best.

Try this tip:

1. Take a 1 battery out
2. Press Power on and Mute while putting the battery back in
3. Remote should say "loader"
4. Download default temple into remote
There is a great need for a Sarcasm font!

hi everyone

thanks for the responses
the remote was replaced by kromer radio after an insurance claim
but they will not transfer my old file for free minimum 100$ charge

i have been programming the remote for 4 years with mxeditor but now it must be
a old version of the software, i cannot find a live update button on it though and will communicate with the remote any longer

the new software needs a dealer registration number
i will try to see if i can get it but im doubtful as im not a dealer

any further ideas? does anyone have the program installer?
im going slowly insane using 4-5remotes for my home theatre system lol

Hi, I have four MX-900 and one went bad. Fortunately, I only need three remotes now. I am using the same audio equipment but I need to update the TV Power on/off on the working remote. Thanks
