I need to be able to select all the video inputs on my TV a Sony Bravia KDL-52XBR4. I've found IR code 0445 works well except it only has keys for 5 video inputs and my TV has 8. The other three are HDMI 1, HDMI 2, HDMI 3.

Is there a better IR code for this TV that includes all 8 inputs, or is there a way to "learn" the remaining 3 inputs I need?

The problem with "learning" from the Sony remote is it requires selecting from the list of inputs rather than pressing a single key. Will learning handle a key sequence? If so, how do I handle the up/down selection from the list when it depends on the last setting?

You could build a macro with a anchor point on a button. Or maybe see if any of their computer programmable models have a discrete input command and learn it from that.

I just did a quick look at a random Sony TV code in CCP. You can try codeset 521. In CCP this codeset shows Video 1-8.

Codeset 521 works. Many thanks, goldenxrule. I could have looked forever.

it would be so nice if URC could somehow publish their ir code list numbers in some sort of excel document, so people who don't have access to URC editors or CCP could easily look up the codeset numbers that match their model numbers.

Agreed. It would make it much easier for those people that do not have access to the software to program their remotes. In the meantime I don't mind helping out when I can.
