Does anyone know whether it is possible to mimic keyboard navigation in Windows? I know I can pull in Windows Media Center (WMC) codes but these only apply when in WMC. What about the Windows desk-top?

1) TAB Key
2) Space Bar Key
3) Return Key

If not, can these be modeled (LEARNED) into the remote?

 you can use a program called eventghost to map any incoming IR signal to any keystroke you want.

I am using Windows 7. There seem to be many discussion threads on the probles people have had trying to get this to work on Windows 7. Have these issues been fixed?

The website says it is only compatible with XP/Vista.

 i've been using eventghost with windows 7 for the past couple years.  i've not had any issues.  you do need to make sure that you have java installed and up to date for everything to work properly though.

Having one hell of a time finding a simple tutorial for this. I only want the ability to:

1) Navigate through the Control Panel in Windows 7
2) Navigate throught the Control Center for my graphics card
3) Enter text for my Win7 password

Need to replicate:
1) TAB Key
2) Space Bar Key
3) Return Key
4) ESC Key
5) Keyboard characters

Any guidance on where to do for this?

P.S. I am using a WMC IR dongle in my USB and it is connected to URC MX-250 Base Station.
