Anyone have hint on getting the MX-3000 software?

I bought my MX-3000 6 or 7 years ago, back when software was included with the remote. I updated it several years ago by downloading from URCs website but that option also looks to have been taken away.

The old Windows laptop I kept around to program the remote has died and I need to set it up again in a virtual machine.

I don't remember where I bought the MX-3000 and the MX-850 'Orion' and 2 RF250s.

Thanks,

Shawn

Per page 2 of URCs own manual for the MX-3000....

"The MX-3000 is programmed via a windows PC equipped with a USB port (we include a programming cable in the box), using our proprietary software, MX-3000 Editor. You can download this software from our website:

www.universalremote.com

Basic setup takes only a few minutes with this software. However, to fully automate an audio/video system the user must have a detailed knowledge of how the system is connected and operated."

I was foolish enough to buy a MX-3000 on ebay instead of buying a harmony. I just like the reviews and want to learn to program it. I know this is not the right venue but if anyone could send me a copy or email me a link where i can get it. The guy I bought it off said he had the software and when it arrived none was in the box. I am good at writing dbse so no fear here. I may have many questions as i journey down the road. It does look like fun. .......Dan

contact URC.  since you purchased it back when they were supplying the software to end users, you probably stand a good chance of them taking care of you.

There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

How do you access the dealer portal without password?
