Is it possible to purchase the top outside plastic casing cover for a MX-850 remote? The top plastic casing for my MX-850 is cracking. It is cracking at the slots in the top casing where the plastic tabs (clasps) from the bottom casing click in to keep the top and bottom casings together. As a result the top and bottom plastic casings do not seal tightly any more. I would prefer to just get the top casing, or else entire case, consisting of both the top and bottom casing halves, if possible.

Will an authorized distributor / seller sell me the top casing? If so, whom? Or do I have to return my MX-850 to Universal Remote for repair or replacement of the top casing?

Thank you,

Cameron

You need to contact URC for a replacement case.
I doubt you'll find a dealer that has one. I certainly don't.

What happened to cause this problem?
These things are tough!
Were you throwing it at the cat, dog, wife, or 'accidently' backed over it after you threw it through the window and it ended up in the driveway?
Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

Cameron,

I'm not sure if URC will just sell you the parts and ship them to you. I believe they require you to send it in for the repair. Give them a call at (914) 835-4484 and talk to someone in Customer Service.

Thank you,

Thank you all for your replies. I will contact URC to ask for a replacement. As to what happened -- well, let’s just say that during a party "someone" accidentally sat on the remote... *grin*
