I've have a couple of MX-980 Remotes (my original MX-980 is almost 4 years old now) with the update-able MX-Editor software and it's been working fine all this time. The first one I purchased from an authorized reseller and the second one is a used remote I bought from someone at work.  

My system has been pretty stable for the last year of so, so I haven't had a need to add a new device to the remote, until now. I just updated my Blu-Ray player and wanted to add a new device, so I went through the normal process of "Create and Name Devices", but when I move to the second step, "Create Button Layouts", there are no templates listed in the Select Template section of the Create Button Layout window. The Select Button Layout section of this window is also empty.

I've added devices well over a dozen times between the two remotes, but this is the first time I've run into a problem like this. I've updated the software, and that didn't help, so I uninstalled the program including the Expansion Pack and Favorite Channel add-ons, and re-installed it without success.

Has anyone ever seen this before? Any idea what's causing the problem and how I might be able to correct it? Fortunately I was just able to change the codes for my old Blu-Ray player, but I might not always be able to do that. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Found this thread on a google search. Having the same issue. Anyone ever experience this or have a workaround?

Did you highlight your devices in the Select Device window? I have not used the 980 standalone software, so not sure how different this part of the process is.

I did. I seem to have found some other forum posts here and elsewhere alluding to the fact that people can get these templates to show up using Win7 32 bit but not 64 bit. I'm running 64 bit. Not sure how to rectify that. Is there any way to import templates? I see the thread below and people are creating some pretty sweet templates but I can't figure it out.
