Not to beat a dead horse, but what's the latest on Total Control? If I slipped schedule like this at my job, I'd be fired lol. Anyway, I'm looking for another solution. This is ridicules.

When I called URC a few months ago, they said the Total Control products, including the SNP-1, tkp-2000, mrx-10 and mrx-1, would be out by the end of the year. I have been waiting, but is this all vaporware?
I think I'll look at Savant.

I think the exciting news is that they're announcing something they already announced several times before, and it still isn't available. ;)

Is URC at the 2012 CES and if so, have they made any announcements? Maybe the trc-1280 is finally available?

I'm at CES. Nothing new on the TRC-1280, which means it's still way off. The TKP-2000 and SNP-1 are in beta and are closest to being released. The apps for iPhone/iPad are supposed to be close as well. No dates on anything.

So... with no real control (TRC780 is too small a display for some clients) can the 12 channel amp be used with IR as a standard whole house amp, with volume control for each zone??
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

the codes are in the ccp database and there are instructions over at the urc control room forum for how to set it up.

I called URC two weeks ago and was told by sales that it would be out "next week". Looks like I'm gonna be installing Russound crap for the foreseeable future.

Also, its nice that they finally released the TKP-2000 but most customers are going to expect more two-way interaction from a $600 remote than checking stocks and weather. There are NO working two-way modules for AVRs or anything else for that matter as we speak. The ones that are currently in Accelerator are not fully vetted as per URC. After all this time waiting, it looks like the early adopters are still going to be pseudo beta-testers.

I really cant imagine many installations where Total Control's currently released lineup would make much sense cost or function-wise.

This all looked great on paper two years ago......and still does.
