SNP-1 rumored to be any time... is in accelerator now.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I jumped in early with a client and now he's not happy with the delays.
That will teach me, maybe I should have gone with RTI instead but TC looked so promising

I am told the ETA is end of November. Been using this time to create device drivers of some of the quipment I sell as well as conrtinue to play around in Accelerator. Product delays to me are part of the process and I would rather wait than to lose money on the field trying to troubleshoot bugs.

my policy is that it doesn't get installed in a customer's house/boat until it has been installed and working in mine.

Very true woods and usually how I work.
This time I needed a different solution and crestron was too expensive so we tried Total control.
Begining to think it was a bad idea, bugs and delays...not a fun job for me or client.

That is the only way to do it. I also don't spec it till it is shipping.

So what's the latest rumor on Total Control? Christmas now? Say what you want but URC either has had major SW and HW issues or they flat out are not funding the Total Control line.

They should rename the product line "Partial Control" :)

Still haven't heard anything new. I can understand the delay on the TRC-1280 (minimizing WiFi lag time), but I expected the TKP-2000 a month ago. Hard to spec it for a job with little more than a TRC-780 and MRX-10 to work with.

I'm perplexed by the 1280 wifi lag issue. Isn't the 1280 a repackaged MX-5000 and doesn't the 5000's wifi work ok?

I don't understand why they even made a TKP-2000. It sure seems like a KP-4000 should work with Total control.

The Complete Control updates seem to be 4:1 to Total Control CCP updates. Just doesn't seem to a priority to URC. Unfortunate for those demanding two way communication and IP control.

The idea is to have instant (or close to it) WiFi connection when the remote "wakes up" so your macros and commands will fire right away. The MX-5000 only uses WiFi on a limited basis for specific networked components. It's not using WiFi for everything like the 1280 is.

The difference is that the KP-4000 is programmed from the CCP and the programming is contained in the 4000. With the TKP-2000, everything's contained in the MRX-10. So the TKP-2000 is more or less a dumb version of the KP-4000.

Hmm, does that mean the MRX-10 is having trouble?
