First of all, you are all great, thanks for the advice.
Ok, question #1. I want to control several lights in my living room and on my deck with the MX900. Can I do this with RF or just IR? What is the simplest and most economical route to go? Can I just wire something into the applicable wall switches of the lights that I want to control?
Second, is there a way to turn off the beepind sound that the 900 makes during each and every key press?
Thanks again,
MIchael Lake

Yes and yes. :)
You can control any IR light switches. You have to have switches that are controllable via IR and you have to run a wire to each one for an IR emitter.
And yes you can turn off the beep. Press and hold Listen and Enter (?) or Watch and enter...and you can follow the prompts from there.
