I have an URC MX 3000. I am trying to get Media Center rewind and fast forward working cleanly. I have it working by sending two codes for FF from the ir database and skip+ which I had the software learn. This work for one skip. Holding the button does not continue skipping. I have to tap wait a second and tap to keep moving foward. I have tried a number of combinations and can not find a way to get the button to work cleaner. I would like to hold and have it skip until realase. I suspect the use of the two codes is the problem. Even a rapid tap would be ok but I have to wait before tapping and that is confusing to people.

Any help is appreciated.

Frank,

First of all, I would use the codes from the IR database which can be found under the AUX code set number 252.

Secondly, you should have a program within Media Center called "Tweak MCE". Go into that program and find the setting that says something about enabling a universal remote. You will have two choices for that setting. Change the setting to the opposite of what it currently is. After you do that you will have to restart your computer. Once your computer restarts it will not be looking for two different IR codes from your remote for each command.

Hope that helps.

I was using the AUX codes but I was having problems with some. I will switch back and try the Tweak MCE.

Thanks
Frankh
