I have a Universal Remote MX-880 and was looking for codes for Logitech Revue. Logitech revue is great with the included keyboard, but sometimes you want to just use the remote for simple navigation. Logitech's solution: Buy a Harmony... I don't think so.

I spent quite a while searching on an alternate control solution and here is what I came up with:

-Revue CAN be controlled with IR via Harmony Remote codes.
-Harmony/Revue IR communication may be a little tricky/non-standard
-Universal has no published codes for Logitech Revue/Google TV
-Logitech Does not publish Hex codes for Revue
-IR (Harmony) Control must be enabled in the Revue settings (It is not by default)
-Someone has captured and posted working Pronto HEX commands for the Logitech Revue. See:
[Link: hifi-remote.com]

The posted codes are in an XLS spread sheet. The best I could manage to do was copy/paste each code into the 'Universal Browser' in the CCP software and drag that code to each button.  Voila!

Direct IR control reliability seems good, though others have mentioned it being flakey when using emiters.

Glad to the Revue is intergrating well. Thanks for the info.

As soon as they get some solid work arounds for hulu, CBS, NBC, etc.; I will be looking into getting one.
I keep pointing my remote at the turntable but, it never advances to the next track.

I'm not having any luck with the codes supplied in the spreadsheet on my MX-900

For example, here's the code as listed for UP

0000 006D 0000 0022 0098 00AB 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0013 000F 0013 000F 0026 000F 0026 000F 0013 000F 0013 000F 0013 000F 076E

I enter this in the Universal Browser / HEX Editor and Drag it to a button on the remote

I've ensured that the remote is set to send IR for this device, but the Revue doesn't detect a signal (the green light on the front doesn't flash)
I've also confirmed that the remote is sending a signal by viewing it through a camera.

any ideas?
thanks

Now that I can program my MX-900 with my Mac, I'm revisiting this topic.
I found that if I put the remote right in front of the Revue (like within a few inches) it does work.

I've replaced the battery with new ones and the range doesn't increase.
I also have a Harmony remote and that remote works from a normal distance.

Any ideas?

thanks

Tried that also.. it doesnt seem to matter how I learn the code.. (from the remote or HEX).. it only picks up the signal if I'm within inches of the Revue.

revue operates via RF. I guess it is not possible to control via URC.

the latest 2nd gen boxes control via bluetooth. so there is no way controlling them also.

--Unless someone creates a RF/IR to bluetooth converter similar to ps3 adapter.
