Hi All,

I am having issues learning the codes from my V+ decoder to my MX3000. The codes work fine but the response from the V+ is sluggish. I have to wait a couple of seconds between button presses. The same happened when I used a Samsung cable code from the database which I believe the V+ is based on.

I have tried repeating the code up to four times and checking the repeat box but no joy. If anyone has sucessfully programmed a V+ decoder I would very much appreciate a .rcf, .ccf or HEX string.

Thank you in advance,

Andrew

The V+ box uses RC5 codes, if your MX is not learning them cleanly then they can be generated easily and imported using Universal Browser.
I will look what I have.

Was this problem ever resolved, i am having a similar problem learning the Samsung V+ HD codes, I believe its using RC5 device 10, i have generated all the HEX codes and they all work however using these codes results in poor response times when repeating the same code, I.E once in the guide push down, down you need to wait around a second between presses or the box does not respond, however if the folowing command is different I.E down, up, then the response is perfectly fast. Any ideas on a solution? Im using iRule software and Global Cache GC100-12 gateway.

Thanks In advance

Barry

the 'problem' the OP had is not the same as the one you have.
the issue you have is the result of the iRule not handling RC5 codes correctly.
you should chase iRule for a solution to this.

Thanks for the update. I was actually just coming back to say, that as you mentioned, the problem was in the irule software and relates to toggle code handling. I have implemented a dirty macro fix at the moment where I have mapped the up down left and right commands to follow them with the text button which is unused in the guide. This then allows the stb to respond immediately to the repeated command.

Also, there is a way to concatenate the A and B versions of a command together with a small enough delay between (20ms @ 40khz) that the hardware only sees one every time the entire code is sent. Pretty slick.
