once more this has raised it's head with CCP when attempting to Update, the solution was to turn off 'User account control' ( I'm running Vista).
This time that solution doesn't work, neither does running as 'administrator',
anyone have any ideas?

I too have received that message - calling URC was semi-helpful but with no ultimate resolution. I'll be watching this thread for info.

I've also seen this on my XP machine.
Off topic:
A recent update failed to allow me to open any old files.
I had to do a system restore and I've basically ignored updating for about a month.....
CCP has it's bugs!!!!!

It was on URC's end. It's working fine now.

It's (the MX-3000 editor) updating fine on my Win 7 PC. On the standalone editors, it's updating the database to 1.96.

spoke w/ Glen @ URC and indicated that it is an issue with being wireless and not hardwired when updating. I have not tested that theory yet, but have to believe it is so because before I moved (to a new home) I was using my desktop hardwired and would update fine, now that that PC is on the 3rd floor man room and I have not had time to run a Cat 6 to it I am running a wireless PCI card and now will not update...

I was able to update my Latitude D600 XP Pro fine this morning, my D830 XP Pro now has the patch file error. I've tried both wired and wireless.

The solution is wait a week. It will eventually work.
Your not missing anything.
Instead of asking me why my price is high ask the other guys why they are low.

Yes, I realise not much will have changed, I'll try again in a week or so...
