I just got the MX-850 (upgrade from my MX-500) and the primary reason I upgraded was for the RF and the PC setup. I can't seem to get my 850 to be "seen" by my PC. I get the error code 101-07UU-0000 the com port is being used by another program. Please identify and exit the program that is using the com port.

I have exited Palm Hotsync and disable ActiveSync. I did the check of the port as they indicate on their site [Link: universalremote.com] and all settings match, but it will not connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Running XP ProSP2 and MX-850 editor version 1.12.267 (dled from URC.com)

I'd call URC, but their hours are when I am at work (imagine that?!) and they have not weekend hours.

Additionally I noticed there is no "live update" under the "help" menu as indicated in the manual.

Thanks!!

Shut down any programs that use com ports. Go to communications, change the com port to 2, exit, go back in and change back to 1.
Works for me every time. Maybe it will work for you.

Unless of course your com port is not one...for example one of my old computers had 2 serial ports...the one on the front wasn't com 1.
LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!
