Hi,
I have purshased my mx 3000 in december in the US (I'm living in France), and all was working perfectly until today: all of my buttons are not working now....I can navigate in all of my pages but not even one button is working.
I moved the battery and replace it, I reset the remote to the "Factory Default" and download my interface but there is no change, my remote is still not working.
It seems to be the IR codes which doesn't works correctly ?!
I need your help !!! if you have any idea of what to do...

Thanks by advance for your help.
Queuf

PS Sorry for my bad english, I hope I was clear enough.

Hey Queuf,
I recommend that you load the original base or blank rcc file and reload your personal rcc file. Unfortunately I think the touch pad my be dead. In that case you will need to call the selling dealer to see about repair or replacement.

Thanks for your answer kep1a.

I don't think it is a touch pad problem because all is responding well, I can navigate and push the buttons (they have changing colours when they are push), I would say that it could be the IR emitter which doesn't works....maybe?
I email my reseller and here is what he answers me:
"be sure the IR is not disabled in the settings as this is done sometimes with the base station, PLease clarify the problem so I can be of more assistance."
What do you think about it ? I don't understand what he is talking about when he says "disabled IR Settings", I can't see it in the software.

Thanks for your help

If you're not using an RF base station (MRF-250, 300 or 350) with the remote, look in the RF Settings in the software and make sure that it's set to "IR" for each device. It's unlikely that it would be set to RF (that's not the default), but check it anyway. If it's correct and you also have the correct IR commands assigned to your devices, it should work fine. Otherwise, there is likely a problem with the remote.

Across the top there is an icon that looks like a triangle with a line going down from the point and a small rectangle to the lower right on the same button. Select that "RF control" button. In the signal column it should say IR or IR & RF if it says RF and you do not use RF then that will be the problem. Double click each one and select IR only as this will conserve the battery. I suspect the problem is the remote touch screen. It would take some effort on your part to change the IR to RF only.

Thanks to both of you for your answers,

I had verified the option, and it is IR & RF that is selected in my software.
But this morning I tried to connect my MRF-250 to my devices, and my remote was working well, so it could be a problem with the IR Emitter in the remote or with my learned codes.
I didn't use the code database because the products have different "names" (reference), but I will try this quickly and will tell you how it works.

Thanks again to all

Hello,

I have updated the software to get the last IR codes, but I have no one of my devices present in that list so I will send back my remote to get a new one.

Thanks for your help

Hi, if you want to know if your IR flasher on the MX-3000 or any other remote in the world works, all you have to do is to point the ir window at a video camera, such as the one on your cell phone for example and then press a button that has a ir code attached to it, if you flasher works, you will see a bright white light comming out of the window, if it doesn't work, well, not bright white light and everthing stays black.

Hope this info is usefull
