For those that made it to CES this year, what's in the booth at URC? Anything different from last year? Any other interesting finds outside of URC (and the strip club down the street)?

HAHAHAHA! You just wanna go for the AVN Awards. I heard they don't have them in conjunction with CES anymore though.

You never fail to make me laugh! :)

Thank you,

The only new stuff was in the Consumer series. They did have a prototype of the R70 (discussed elsewhere) that will be available in both Consumer and Pro versions. The Pro version will be about $100 more and will offere greater customization through the software, as well as addressible RF, like the other Complete Control series models.

That's good to hear that the R70 will be available in the Control series since it is such a well thought out remote configuration.

I was shown the MX-810 and MX-5000. Very cool. The MX-810 will retail for $399 and has a display similar to the Harmony 880 and will have RF compatible with the MRF-350. The MX-5000 looks similar to the MX-3000. Did not see the screen working though. It was only a prototype. It will have 2-way RF communication with the new MSC-500 too.

The MX-810: Did it have a full color display on a hard-button remote?

I'm assuming the MX-810 is the "pro" line, not the consumer one? If it is, this is exactly what I've been waiting for!!! I guess the R70 pro model might be similar.

Anyone got pictures or more info?

I couldn't take pictures since my rep was right in front of me. Yes, it has a very similar display to a harmony 880. However, you will have some control over the graphics. The button design/layout was similar to the Monster remote. It will be in the "pro" line. I don't remember when they said it should be released, but I believe it's not far away. I will find out though.

The 810 is the same as the R70 shown by Daniel here. The MX-5000 is the new number for what was previously referred to as the MX-3500. Daniel will probably have some pictures of the R70 (MX-810), but it's really the same as his previous picture.

There's still a ways to go on the R70/MX-810 as they only had a non-working prototype that was flown in from Korea.

I also must confirm that Jeff was indeed upright when I saw him (didn't see him after the show though). ;-)

OK...so the "pro" version of the R70 is the MX-810, correct?

Then the overall layout on both remotes will be the same?

What does the MX-5000 look like? An updated MX-3000?
